Today is brought to you by the letter "I" and the under-appreciated, much maligned iron-on patch. I found a mess of these iron-on patches in the thrift store stash I posted about here. Since I'm not big on glitzy stuff, I sent about half of them to my mother who likes life on the sparkly side. So it was that on her recent visit all her denim jeans were sporting rhinestones on their backsides. And they looked cute enough that I decided to give one of the patches a go on my own jeans.
And here is the result...I was skeptical having grown up in the Iron-on Knee Patch Era, but I was pleasantly surprised. Iron-ons have come of age, I believe. These are, after all, Swarovski crystals. Mom tells me her jean embellishments have already survived several launderings, so I remain hopeful.

Hi Charity, just wanted to let you know that I keep looking forward to your alphabet posts. Every day I try to remember what letter you're on. It's very creative. When you first said you were going to do it I thought that I could never come up with something for each letter. I'm enjoying it.
