Here's a fun idea to do with your kids or just for your own paper-crafting pleasure...
To make these:
CUT:
a circle from cardstock about 2 inches in diameter
6 hearts from vintage illustrations - I used a 2 inch punch
two leaf shapes
MARK:
the center of your two inch circle with a dot
GLUE:
Put glue in the center of your circle, but not all the way to the edges
Put a dot of glue on the wrong side of each heart's point
PLACE:
Place the heart's points over the center dot of the circle
Overlap each heart equally
I like to alternate between graphics and text hearts or the graphics get kind of lost
CREATE STEM:
Push a wood skewer, dowel, thin branch or whatever under the circle at the back of the flower. You may need to put a dot of glue on each side of the stem under the circle edge and then use a clothespin to hold until dry. Glue leaves.
EMBELLISH:
Embellish the center of your flowers with further paper cut-outs, silk flowers, vintage buttons, poker chips, bit of jewelry, glitter, whatever you wish!
Don't feel like crafting, but still want some pretties posies?? The ones pictured are available on Etsy with more coming.
