Changing Direction

I think I'm going to move away from the general children's clothing market and return to my first love...vintage textiles. I will be creating more items like the vintage linens jacket below along with more shabby chic home accessories type stuff. The children's Ebay market is so overcrowded. I'm going to find a small niche market with vintage textiles within the children's market and then for the rest of my inventory going to broaden out with home accessories and general crafts. I may try my hand at that altered art stuff. It looks interesting.

But I DO love sewing children's clothing. And the grandbabies haven't started arriving yet. So I will continue to sew children's clothing, but just not market it on Ebay. I will post it here and if you're interested, contact me and we'll talk. Otherwise, I'm just going to stockpile it here at home and give things to the littles at church, lay some things away for grandbabies and perhaps do a mother-daughter tea/open house/shop and talk kind of event at the end of the year. Or a craft fair. Or a small booth in a consignment mall We'll see....but something not quite as drama-drenched as the Ebay children's community has become.

I feel free and open to all kinds of possibilities.

You are right, Charity. It is overcrowded. So much so that sometimes the WOW gorgeous items get missed.

I've always loved your knack of being able to include a vintage/heirloom flare in your designs. I SO wish to only create items from years gone by...and have them sell well.

I wish you the best of luck in your endeavors. And I'll check back often to see your progress.

I really love your things. I'll miss seeing your things on ebay, but I'll visit often here to check out what you're up to!
