I just finished this outfit today. I love sewing on this Chinese satin or brocade or whatever it is. :) As long as you serge the edges to prevent unraveling, it's really quite nice to work with. The pin-tucked taffeta I've had around for so long, I can't even remember where I got it. I had only the tiniest remnant. The obi sash came about because the blouse is a little on the short side due to fabric shortage and I wanted something to really secure it when tucked into the skirt. It adds to the oriental flair and I like the baby blue and olive together. Upwards and onwards. The next outfit uses some unusual fabrics together - waffle knit, faux fur and reptile pleather! :) Sounds awful, I know, but it's really cute in a funky kind of way!
Sincerely sewing...

I love your outfits!!! I am really impressed with your photography! Did you take the pics yourself?
I do some of them - the ones with the mannequin or my local model (the gal wearing the costumes). But if I need something modeled in a different size then Sierra wears (a large 5, 6/7), then I send out to other models and their Moms take the pics. Thanks for the kind words!
