When Sewing Isn't Sewing

I have started work on a series of costumes for portraits, parties, dress-up and for those who participate, Halloween. Tonight I worked on crafting the crown for a Medieval-inspired Snow Queen. I started with a Wal-Mart child's play tiara and dipped in thinned plaster of paris. I allowed it to dry and then sprayed on craft glue. Then heavy doses of clear beads, silver glitter and white glitter. It was fun and messy. I felt like I was in kindergarten all over again. Next up is the sceptre....
