Man Shall Not Live by Pillows Alone

Okay...I got tired of pillows. A couple of months back I got fascinated by the Altered Art phenomenon. I made my mother one of those nifty paper bag albums. It was kind of exhilarating. The whimsical nature of altered art appealed to my silly self (yes, I DO have one). And I love most anything graphical in nature. So after my mother's album I decided to tackle something a little more ambitious. Then I made a St Patrick's Day album that tooks me FOREVER to complete. While I love the altered albums, I prefer making tags because they are quick and easy. They're the junk food of the papercrafting world.

"I've got a brand new pair of roller skates..."

One for the nursery! I found these little screenprinted vintage blocks several years ago. I think they were intended to be made into a child's quilt. This is the second pillow I've made with one of them. I have a few left and was thinking about making up some nine-patch blocks from 1930s repro prints, combining them with the remaining screenprint blocks and making a little child's lap quilt.

A Couple More Pillows

I am working my way through a pile of damaged vintage linens. Too pretty to throw away. Too damaged to use. I have a whole Rubbermaid container of these. :) I may single-handedly deplete JoAnn's entire stock of pillow forms. :) I finished these this weekend. They are listed on Ebay. I just love pillows. I think they are so pretty. I think I could be happy with a whole roomful of cottage style pillows that I could just go in and wallow around on! :) :)
