Fascinated by the National Costume Thing...

I have always loved historically inspired costumes. Now I'm getting sucked in by national costume and ethnic folkwear. I recently finished this Russian folk costume. I just have to finish up the hand sewing on the apron hem and the ribbon ties on the kokoshnik (maiden headdress).



I hope to do the photo shoot with my model tommorrow. And I have an eastern Indian costume in the works. Such beautiful fabrics!
